On August 11th, Portland rockers Red Fang were the next in line to host a livestreaming event, which was held at Mississippi Studios in Portland. 2021 has been a big year for Red Fang so far. The band released its newest album, Arrows, and this year also marks the 10 year anniversary of the album Murder the Mountains.

On the night of April 28, 2022 at the Whisky a Go Go, Lions at the Gate introduced themselves as a new band, live, on stage for the first time. And the band did not come to West Hollywood alone.

“Li(f)e” is the latest single from Fargo, ND Metal band Glass Houses. It tackles the subject of life and death. It’s predicated on the notion that “death comes for us all” and wrestling with that fear and anxiety.

While not exclusively the domain of thrash metal, bands throughout the 80s of that genre perfected the inner sleeve photo collage. It was a landscape where photos of bands and band members in their everyday environment were haphazardly thrown together on the inner sleeve of an album.

I really cannot think of a more iconic, revolutionary, controversial, and monumental band in industrial metal music history than Ministry. To me, the band itself is so deeply rooted and encompassed in the visual aspect of music that it comes as no surprise that throughout the band’s impressive history there is enough content to fill an entire book. Quite a long sentence there, aye? Ministry’s history is even longer than that, I promise.
