Halloween weekend is always enjoyable, and it regularly has some extra sugar and spice to make it pure perfection in LA and other big cities. Saturday was the night before Halloween, and this evening’s event was the Coming to America tour with All Hail the Yeti, Suicide Silence, and Jinjer at The Belasco.

Every day a tour is postponing to a later date because of the pandemic, and it still feels like dark days. SoCal rockers In This Moment with co-headliners Black Veil Brides and openers DED were also forced to make this hard choice, but the tour is on and not to be missed.

Supporting her just released debut album, Love Made Me Do It, the one and only Kat Von D recently embarked on a four date mini West Coast tour, wrapping it all up at San Francisco’s August Hall on a Saturday evening.

Pennsylvania metalcore heavyweights August Burns Red are currently celebrating the 10 year anniversary of one of their greatest records, Leveler, with a massive run across the USA with a stacked lineup featuring Fit for a King, Erra, and Like Moths to Flames.

Within a half an hour of being in this literal warehouse turned music venue, this level of excitement and pure, unadulterated joy was contagious and ignited a soaring level of passion from one person to the next. And the show had not even started.

The glitzy and glam limelight of Las Vegas, Nevada was interrupted this past Tuesday by the likes of death metal legends The Black Dahlia Murder and their crew of gruesomely brilliant opening acts After the Burial, Carnifex, Rivers of Nihil, and Undeath.

On August 27th, the Hella Mega Tour hit the Bay Area with The Interrupters, Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and hometown band Green Day. Due to the pandemic, this show had been rescheduled, but the wait was definitely worth it.

The band entered and immediately ripped into their first song as the super energetic frontman Caleb Shomo came running out on stage, with a Slayer shirt and bandana around his forehead.

For his birthday this year, Skum Love asked the You Rock Foundation to host his birthday show at the Whisky A Go Go on Sunday, August 29, 2021, hosted by Jes Fama, with special guests The Mendenhall Experiment, Fate DeStroyed, and Symbolism.

Having released their ninth studio album, Nowhere Generation, Chicago’s Rise Against has been out on the road over the summer supporting it, bringing along punk rock icons Descendents, as well as The Menzingers.
