They played hours of fan favorites such as “Opiate,” “The Pot,” “Pushit,” “Pneuma,” and “Hooker with a Penis.” After a 12 minute intermission, Danny Carrey took the stage alone to play his unforgettable solo, “Chocolate Chip Trip.”

On December 15th, Sacramento’s Holy Diver had a great show with Craig Owens and two Sacramento local bands, Aquageist and Saint Juniper. His set was a great mix of songs from all of his projects, like D.R.U.G.S, Cinematic Sunrise, Chiodos, BadXChannels, and Isles & Glaciers.

Tis the season for holiday shows, and we may have caught the biggest and heaviest one this year at Buffalo native’s Every Time I Die’s annual two day show Tid the Season. Day 2 of Tid the Season started in the early afternoon at Buffalo Riverworks with a couple hours of professional wrestling.

This tour is a throwback to their greatest album, Slaughter in the Vatican (1990), which they played in its entirety. Every two or three songs, Kyle Thomas would tell us “Gather around the fireside, kids.”

The date was November 28, 2021. The scene of the crime: Starland Ballroom in New Jersey. The Hip to Be Scared Severed Leg 2 Tour came slashing through, headlined by horror anthem juggernauts Ice Nine Kills with support from Bad Omens, Currents, and Fame on Fire.

One by one Gemini Syndrome took the stage and the audience was ready. Brian Steele Medina (drums) was unleashed first, throwing himself onto the metal cages at the front of the stage to get within an inch away from the faces of their dedicated fans like a wild beast.

The Punk in the Park festival finally took place at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, California. The sold-out two day event, which included craft beer tasting from local Southern California breweries, turned out to be well worth the wait.

On November 22nd, GWAR’s 30th Anniversary tour hit the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. GWAR started the show with a monologue and then the blood started spewing. The crowd was screaming in excitement, especially those in the “splash zone."

The Devil’s Dozen was a livestream offering to fans sitting in conjunction with a similarly named, excellent, and thorough newly released documentary about the band, their forthcoming fifth album and second for Napalm, Ecdysis, and the fact they’ve spent the majority of the last two years off the road.
