Cleveland industrial/alt-metal octet, Mushroomhead, unleashed a free YouTube streaming event on Valentine’s Day to premiere a double feature of cinematic videos of previous tracks “Carry On” and ”Madness Within.”

Focusing on the band’s earlier albums with tracks off Thoughts of No Tomorrow, Schlacht, and playing the self-titled Avatar in its entirety, it was a wild but most excellent ride.

Los Angeles based act FIRA found themselves in the sights of thousands during an unexpected livestream performance at the world famous Whisky a Go Go, performing their latest release From Vegas With Blood in its entirety.

Saturday’s stream focused on two more of Avatar’s lengthy catalog of albums, this time around being a set that moved fluidly back and forth between Black Waltz and Hail the Apocalypse. Both records explored everything from groove metal to death metal.

For the bill Saturday night, the experience focused on fan voted favorites from two of their records, Feathers of Flesh and Avatar Country, and created a curated performance around the requested tracks that took the art of the live stream to a whole other level.

For Every Time I Die fans, this holiday season didn’t feel quite right knowing that the band would not be bringing their annual ‘Tid The Season “Shitmas” festival to their hometown of Buffalo, NY. It is a tradition that has taken place on December 15 every year since 2017, giving the date the distinguished title of “Every Time I Die” day.
