After four years, King Diamond has embarked on his first US tour since 2015. Tonight, we find the King appearing at the historic Worcester Palladium in Massachusetts to a packed crowd and full balcony of screaming fans. While he had some health issues in the past, with triple bypass heart surgery, it’s clear it has not slowed King Diamond down, nor has he skipped a beat.

The post-hardcore emo supergroup L.S. Dunes brought The Like Magick Tour in support of their latest album release Violet to the Belasco on Friday, May 9.  This stop of the tour featured a powerhouse lineup that spanned multiple genres.  

The Devil’s Dozen was a livestream offering to fans sitting in conjunction with a similarly named, excellent, and thorough newly released documentary about the band, their forthcoming fifth album and second for Napalm, Ecdysis, and the fact they’ve spent the majority of the last two years off the road.

Godfathers of death metal, Poland’s Vader just wrapped up a month long tour of North America—their first here in almost three years. As luck would have it, it also happened to fall on big anniversaries of three of their most revered albums—De Profundis (25 years), Litany (20 years), and The Art of War (15 years), giving the band an excuse to bring out some deeper, older cuts on this run.

The night was incredible for fans of metal and especially for Black Metal and Mayhem historians who got an incredible visual and musical history of the band as they celebrated their 40th anniversary of being a band.

The legendary Hollywood Palladium was alive with the hypnotic sounds of The Sisters of Mercy. The second show we attended was extraordinary, and it was one to take everyone’s breath away with a very special guest.

On Tuesday, May 3, eager concertgoers lined up outside of the Webster Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut for an incredible metalcore lineup featuring Chamber, Gideon, While She Sleeps, and headliner Wage War.

Apocalyptica and Lacuna Coil performed live on Easter Sunday in San Francisco, and it was a sight to see and hear at the Regency Ballroom. The crowd was full of diehard fans of both bands, and the enthusiasm in the room was electric.

Most Tuesday nights are simple and uneventful, however Tuesday, June 14 was exciting for Hartford, Connecticut metal fans, as The Krewe Du Sang Tour featuring a lineup of VCTMS and Afterlife, and Louisiana’s own Cane Hill came to rock The Webster Underground. 

Friday the 13th is typically a day of superstitious bad luck. This May 13th, however, came with good luck, as Inspirit was playing its first show in Connecticut on its first tour ever.
