Godfathers of death metal, Poland’s Vader just wrapped up a month long tour of North America—their first here in almost three years. As luck would have it, it also happened to fall on big anniversaries of three of their most revered albums—De Profundis (25 years), Litany (20 years), and The Art of War (15 years), giving the band an excuse to bring out some deeper, older cuts on this run.

All of the tours have been canceled this year, and unfortunately, bands can’t get by on album and merch sales alone. Taking away touring is equivalent to taking away a musician’s livelihood. The touring loss also affects crew members, such as tour managers, techs, front of house, merchandising managers, drivers, lighting professionals, and more. On top of that, it doesn’t seem like this pandemic is easing anytime soon.

A little punk, a little blues, and a lot of passion make up BIG SPECIAL’s unique and captivating sound. Described as “fight songs for a world gone wrong,” this UK duo’s debut album, POSTINDUSTRIAL HOMETOWN BLUES, blasts massive beats and fiery lyrics with themes of depression.
