feedtherightwolf explores the width and breadth of post-grunge, with heavy undertones contrasting deftly with ambient, post-rock influenced guitars and a hauntingly moreish vocal. Their moniker is taken from an old Cherokee proverb, and there’s an intrinsic depth and contemplation that ebbs through in feedtherightwolf’s new single.

The East Coast crew has unveiled “Deathstare,” a track that marries dizzying grunge tones, progressive, hook-laced guitars and a splaying of melody atop the layered instrumentation.

Speaking on the new track, bassist Rob Goff shares: “’Deathgaze’ explores the thin margin between life and death. Our joke working title was actually ‘Def gaze,’ as it had that Deftones sort of sound but with washy shoegaze guitars.”
Goff continues: “The lyrics: ‘Break ground, the soil is hard, labor until you fall apart’ and ‘stay wild, if you can stand the storm…Careful it’s laced with lithium‘ sums the track up. Two different approaches to how people live their lives, but both still walk the fine line of life and death.”
