The Devil Wears Prada brought a full night of metalcore to the House of Blues Anaheim with the five band lineup on The Devil Wears Prada Is Eternal tour.

Greyhaven, the post-hardcore band from Louisville started things off. The band has been touring relentlessly since signing with Solid State, releasing the EP Stereo Grief earlier this year, anda stint with TDWP is Eternal tour mates SeeYouSpaceCowboy, which resulted in a tight, polished sound with the energy of the band’s camaraderie shining through.

Like Moths to Flames kept the momentum going and dialed it up with their heavy metalcore. Their short set included a mix of old and new starting with “Habitual Decline” from the 2020 release No Eternity in Gold into the anthem for the angry, “GNF” from 2012’s When We Don’t Exist before ending with vocalist Chris Roetter’s self-described more emocore song “Kintsugi” and the timeless fan favorite “Bury Your Pain.”

SoCal siblings Connie and Ethan Sgarbossa and their band SeeYouSpaceCowboy brought their “Stop Calling Us Screamo,” self-described sasscore to the stage next. While their screamo roots peaked through their metalcore sound, the way Connie constantly moved all over the stage was pure sass. The dance metal melodies kept the energy up, leading into the fourth band of the night.

In the direct support slot was Silent Planet, another SoCal band with hometown crowd energy. The progressive metalcore band is known for thought-provoking lyrics, with vocalist Garret Russell leading the way as the centerpiece. The set list heavily featured songs off their latest release, 2023’s Superbloom. This may have been because they’ll be back in Anaheim headlining at Chain Reaction on December 20 to play The Night God Slept in full for the 10th anniversary of the album.

After an already stacked lineup, The Devil Wears Prada finally took the stage for a blistering 75 minute set that included songs from the entirety of their career to date.

Led by Mike Hranica and Jeremy DePoyster, the band relentlessly kept the crowd engaged and even let the audience choose “HTML Rulez D00d” at one point. The band literally had people coming back for more with a repeat performance at the Belasco in Los Angeles two nights later.
