Six Months of Eloy Casagrande with SLIPKNOT

On May 1, 2024, Eloy Casagrande, former drummer for Sepultura for over a decade, was officially announced as Slipknot’s new drummer through a post on social media made by the band, stating “Slipknot officially welcomes @eloycasagrande.” Now, after six months of Eloy playing for the iconic band, how has it gone so far?

We’ve teamed up with Concerty.com to write this article and get updated data about live concerts and festivals. Concerty provides up-to-date and reliable information about band’s upcoming concerts, setlist prediction, and all the info you need before attending concerts, it’s worth checking out!

Throughout many drum cams that emerged on the internet of Eloy playing with Slipknot, a few things caught the attention of the band’s fans:

His connection with Michael Pffaf, the Tortilla Man. The two showed a very unique connection while playing together.

Eloy’s insane ability with the drums. Of course, being a drummer for Slipknot is not an easy task, past drummers like Jay Weinberg and Joey Jordison were known for being extremely talented and dedicated, but it feels like we are seeing Eloy’s full potential and ability with Slipknot.

More recently, Slipknot just finished their North American “Here Comes the Pain” Tour, celebrating 25 years of the band’s debut album. The tour included some shows at Madison Square Garden in NYC. Eloy also performed with Slipknot in Brazil for the first time at the music festival Knotfest Brasil 2024 in São Paulo.

So overall, Slipknot fans and Eloy’s fanbase are pretty satisfied with his work so far. And it seems that the same goes for the band’s members.
