BELLHEAD, Chicago’s demolition duo of Karen Righeimer-Schock and Ivan Russia has announced the release of their new video supporting their Good Intentions EP. The video for the fan favorite song “Bad Taste” is now available.
The duo reunited with “Unicorn Bones” director John A. Weaver. The team worked in a secret rural Wisconsin location using a number of film techniques including the use of Super 8mm film for the majority of the video as well as 4k digital and a variety of equipment.
Weaver states: “This video places the viewer in a fever dream where BELLHEAD is hopelessly trying to escape a chaotic antagonist. Reality and hallucinations blur together and trade places as they descend into darkness. In this presentation, there is no ’motivation’ behind why they are running. Rather, the audience is dropped into something ongoing and have only the visual clues I provide to make sense of what is going on. Just when the audience thinks they’re on to a story, I throw something in to shake them off. The goal is to create an experience that is unsettling yet captivating.”
