Following their debut single “Quagmire,” gothic duo Satin Puppets has unveiled the band’s second track and video “Intertwined.”
“We pieced ‘Intertwined’ together out of writing we did when we were stuck in a toxic cycle and were therefore easily manipulated,” said Satin Puppets’ Julia and Joanna. “We were feeling trapped in our bodies and lost. ‘Intertwined’ is about recognizing your power as a divine ancient spirit and taking back the reins to your life so no one can take you off your golden path. It is about reconstructing who you are inside by doing inner spirit work. Our intention with ‘Intertwined’ is to help people take a step back and connect with themselves so they may heal from their traumas and move forward without fear.”
Satin Puppets is a gothic pop duo from California who truly embrace the weird and wonderful. The group is composed of twin sisters Julia and Joanna Araujo who began their dark angelic vision by sharing their art and personal style on their popular TikTok and Instagram pages. Through their mystic core music and eerily dreamy visuals, Satin Puppets hopes to remind you that there is magic to be seen all around, you just have to take your puppet strings and set yourself free.
Satin Puppets, also known as Little Ghouls in the art world, dove into music for the very first time with the release of “Quagmire” in January. Adding songs to their already diverse portfolio of gothic art was a natural next step for the twins whose pieces typically follow themes of self growth and connecting to the world around you.
Satin Puppets once again teamed up with producer Nxghtshade to produce “Intertwined” and enlisted dark artist Storyteller to direct the music video.
