Komrads has released its new album, The Wolf, today on Negative Gain Productions, with “Exile” as the opening track. The goal of Komrads was to write an ugly, driven metal song without the use of any guitars.

“‘Exile’ is the nihilistic anthem that kicks off The Wolf and sets the tone for the rest of the record. It’s raw, fast, and filthy. I want this song to capture the listener and send them for a ride through my world.”– Zachary James Burnett Vocalist/Producer

Diving head first into a relentless dystopian electronics landscape, The Wolf is the sum of Komrads’ progress from experimenting with darkwave and post-punk to a fleshed out industrial/EBM machine, powered by punk energy with gothic aesthetics.

Komrads is a solo industrial/darkwave project helmed by Rochester, NY native Zachary Burnett. The Wolf is Komrads follow up to 2018’s Resistor and dives head first into a heavy hitting electronic dystopian landscape. This album was written over the course of two years between extensive tour dates in 2019 and throughout 2020 during the pandemic. The Wolf is a far more focused stab towards heavier, more aggressive territory in the realms of industrial and EBM while still incorporating elements of darkwave and hardcore punk. The Wolf is Komrads second full length LP and first release with record label Negative Gain Productions.
