Portland alternative rockers Dancer have unveiled a new single and music video.
Formed from the ashes of Acadia, Portland alternative rockers Dancer have delivered their debut single, “Lost in Blue.” Heart-on-sleeve, piercing and unequivocally honest, “Lost in Blue” is a compelling arrival on the scene from the Maine quartet.
Drawing on the likes of Turnover, The Hotelier, and Citizen, the quartet’s lead single is rife with emotional lyricism and unwavering accessibility that nods to much of the finest indie/emo from the late 00s–early 10s.
“In songs that deal with anger, hurt, betrayal…we sometimes hold back for fear of people seeing us, and not liking what they see. I wanted to write a song that dealt with feelings of absolute betrayal and like the song says, ‘I am not a hero, or anyone else’s savior.
