“‘Mirages’ talks about dealing with that urge everyone gets to look elsewhere, especially when searching for a spiritual connection,” says the band. “We always seem to crave something deeper, to have a bond, the desire to belong to something greater. But, we rarely look inside to who we truly are, without these ideas thoughts and ideas, so we never hold ourselves accountable to push forward that dream vision and realize the best version of ourselves.”
AVAT—comprised of Roland Velazquez (vocals), Jonathan Rivera (bass), Dimitri Anchipolovsky (guitar), Kevin Stewart (guitar), and Romulo Bernal (drums)—formed in 2015 and have continued to dole out charging riffs, bewilderingly catchy leads, and soaring vocals.
