The Deep End has crafted an open, melodic, and thoroughly accessible collection on the Icarus EP, balancing honest lyricism, driving guitar work, and enticing melodic injections. The solo project of New York native Max McGill nods to a cross section of influence from across alternative rock and post-hardcore.

Since the Long Island native broke onto the scene with the release of 2019 debut EP Broken Souls, The Deep End has turned heads across state and country, with a unique, captivating, and relatable brand of alternative rock. The EP, recorded with Point North vocalist John Lundin struck a chord with fans, particularly lead single “Not Safe,” which has gone on to rack up over 230K streams on Spotify alone.
