Telling Secrets has dropped a new single for thunderous and angst-laced anthem, “Paranoid.” Back with their first new music of 2025, the project, led by Vik Kovacs, strikes with a gripping track that hits the sweet spot between alternative rock and metalcore.
On the story behind the new song, Kovacs shares: “Last year, I had the misfortune of having my home broken into. I felt a sense of anxiety and violation in a space that by definition should be safe and mine. For the first few nights I had an extreme sense of paranoia, to the point where I didn’t feel safe going to bed. I took my anger towards the uninvited individual out on this song, in an attempt to let go, I wrote “Paranoid.”
New single, “Paranoid” sees George Perks (Caskets, Sleep Token) on production duties, as Telling Secrets continues to relish the art of collaboration.
But, amidst the palpable atmosphere and riveting sonic stylings of the new track, Kovacs’ songmanship still shines through. The candid tale of anguish sits against a backdrop of cascading guitars and thunderous drums, as Telling Secrets continues to forge an electric connection with their rapidly growing audience.
