On July 18, 2024, the Kia Forum in Los Angeles transformed into a sanctuary for pop punk and hardcore enthusiasts, as A Day to Remember headlined The Least Anticipated Album Tour. The night kicked off with an electrifying lineup featuring Scowl, Four Year Strong, and The Story So Far, each delivering their own brand of high-octane performance to a packed and eager crowd.

Scowl set the tone with a burst of hardcore energy that ignited the venue. Fronted by Kat Moss, whose powerful vocals and relentless stage presence showcased her commanding ability to engage the audience. With a blend of aggressive screams and two-stepping all over the stage, Scowl’s set was a furious introduction to the evening, leaving the crowd pumped for what was to follow.

Four Year Strong took the stage next, injecting a dose of pop punk and hardcore anthems that resonated with the elder emos in the crowd. Dan O’Connor’s boundless energy and charismatic stage antics had the crowd jumping. Their set resonated deeply with fans, particularly those nostalgic for the golden era of emo and pop punk.

The Story So Far maintained the momentum with their signature pop punk melodies and hard-hitting lyrics. Frontman Parker Cannon delivered each verse with precision—his vocals driving the band’s energetic performance. The crowd responded enthusiastically, soaking in every riff and chorus that echoed throughout the venue.

As anticipation reached its peak, A Day to Remember exploded onto the stage amid a flurry of confetti bombs and a dazzling light show. Jeremy McKinnon wasted no time in commanding the crowd’s attention with his gritty screams and melodic singing. The band dove into a comprehensive set list with tracks from the early years of 2007 to their newest single, “Feedback.” Throughout the evening, ADTR’s stage presence was enhanced by impressive pyrotechnics that set off during various songs, including “Paranoia.”

A standout moment came unexpectedly when ADTR unleashed their cover of “Since U Been Gone,” a song they haven’t performed in a decade. The crowd erupted into a unified chorus, singing along to McKinnon’s vocals. It was a moment of pure connection between band and audience, a tribute to the enduring impact of their music.

The concert reached an emotional high with “If It Means a Lot to You,” a song that tugged at heartstrings and had the crowd singing, “La, la, la, la, la, la, la.” Originally a duet, Jeremy took on both vocal parts, showcasing his prowess as a versatile vocalist while highlighting the band’s seamless transition into acoustic melodies.

Demand for an encore from the passionate Los Angeles audience was immediate. Without hesitation, the band rushed back onto the stage, delivering not one but two encore songs. They launched into “It’s Complicated,” followed by the anthemic favorite “The Downfall of Us All.” Even as the venue lights began to brighten, the fervor of the crowd remained unabated—a testament to A Day to Remember’s unforgettable performance and the resounding success of their tour.
