Daedric is starting off 2023 with a bang, reuniting with acclaimed mixer Joey Sturgis to drop a brutal alt-metal single “Alchemy.”
Savage from the get-go “Alchemy” wastes no time jumping in with industrial guitars laced over a ferocious but captivating vocal performance from frontwoman Kristyn Hope. Mixing screams with atmospheric vocals The single performs a delicate dance between ethereal and ominous, delicate and harsh. Drawing from a wide variety of genres including metalcore, electronic and industrial “Alchemy” establishes Daedric’s incredible versatility.
“The team was excited to experiment with more screams and gritty vocals on ‘Alchemy,’” explains Daedric. “We really tested some vocal limits and that gave us some great moments during production.”
