Over the course of two albums and an EP, SOM has made their mark indelible. With a third album being worked on and the Faith EP released, SOM is primed and ready. “Policy of Truth“ is from SOM’s EP of Depeche Mode covers, Faith, that came out last year.

Will Benoit (vocals, bass):
“We shot ‘Policy of Truth’ during our last night on tour with Katatonia and Gost in our drummer Justin’s hometown of Denver. I hadn’t ever been to the O Theater so I didn’t have any preconceived notion of what the video would look like, but as soon as we loaded in and saw so many familiar faces I was immediately excited. The theater is absolutely gorgeous, and from the first moment of watching Alex run around setting up cameras and filming our soundcheck to ending the night with big hugs from everyone in the other bands and crews, the entire evening instantly became very special, and we are so happy that Alex and his crew were able to capture it all so beautifully.”

From Alex Pace (director):
“‘Policy of Truth’ came together thanks to the wonderful work of Eric Paton, Maitland Lottimer, Kelly Schilling, Aaron Saye and Logan Diemert. With all of these videographers, the video felt effortless. We were able to capture one play-through of the song at sound check, then the rest from SOM’s performance that evening. I’ve been jamming SOM’s ‘Faith’ EP nearly nonstop since before it came out and could not wait to help capture/create the visual aspect for ‘Policy of Truth.’“

SOM is Will Benoit (voice, guitar), Justin Forrest (bass), Joel Munguia Reynolds (guitar), Mike Repasch-Nieves (guitar), and Duncan Rich (drums).
