Ghost In Decay is a metalcore band from the midwestern town of Belleville, IL just outside of St. Louis, MO, creating their own brand of music for fans of A.F.I., Motionless in White, Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein, Chelsea Grin, and Ice Nine Kills.
“We strive to combine our love for dark, spooky, heavy, and catchy music with influences from classic rock, punk, alternative, deathcore, and everything in between,” says the band. “Our goal is to capture true emotion and an energy that only music can provide while giving you the creeps because after all, everyday is Halloween!”
“‘Us’ is about the dark side of my personality and how it has to coexist with the light side, it’s my twisted humor, it’s my protection, it’s the voice in the back of my head,” says vocalist Brett Murphy. “Understanding the duality in your own mind and letting it be a part of you instead of fighting it and making you go crazy. Not good, not exactly evil, just dark. For the video we just let our director J.T. Ibanez [P.O.D., Picturesque, Ashland] do what he felt worked for abstract visuals. We love how it came together!”
