For his birthday this year, Skum Love asked the You Rock Foundation to host his birthday show at the Whisky A Go Go on Sunday, August 29, 2021, hosted by Jes Fama, with special guests The Mendenhall Experiment, Fate DeStroyed, and Symbolism.

After four years, King Diamond has embarked on his first US tour since 2015. Tonight, we find the King appearing at the historic Worcester Palladium in Massachusetts to a packed crowd and full balcony of screaming fans. While he had some health issues in the past, with triple bypass heart surgery, it’s clear it has not slowed King Diamond down, nor has he skipped a beat.

Halestorm, The Warning, and New Years Day hit the road on September 21st, 2022 starting at Mars Music Hall in Huntsville, AL. New Year’s Day didn’t make it due to mechanical problems with their tour bus, but on September, 26th all three bands brought their A game.

All of the tours have been canceled this year, and unfortunately, bands can’t get by on album and merch sales alone. Taking away touring is equivalent to taking away a musician’s livelihood. The touring loss also affects crew members, such as tour managers, techs, front of house, merchandising managers, drivers, lighting professionals, and more. On top of that, it doesn’t seem like this pandemic is easing anytime soon.

January 26, 2024 will see German melodic death metal act HIRAES—featuring former members of Dawn of Disease and Critical Mess—furiously kick off the new year with the release of their sophomore studio album, Dormant, via Napalm Records.
